How Often Should I "Check The Oil"

How Often Should I "Check The Oil"

Ayers Auto Tip of the Week How Often Should I "Check The Oil" https://youtu.be/bUIyxGjoMO4 via @YouTube You should "check the oil" every few hundred miles, or every other time you fill your gas tank. If you’re low, add a little at a time (no more than half a quart to a quart), and then re-check. It’s a good idea to keep at least one quart of oil in your garage and one in your trunk. The oil specifications for your make and model are in your owner’s manual. Or stop by Ayers; we would be happy to check your oil and top it off for free. https://bit.ly/SBAutoRepair ... read more

Ayers Auto Tip Of The Week Synthetic Oil

Ayers Auto Tip Of The Week Synthetic Oil

Regular maintenance, including oil changes, is the most cost-effective way to keep an older vehicle on the road. A lubricant such as "Valvoline’s MaxLife Motor Oil" can also help extend the life of your engine. If you find that you frequently have to add oil to your car or truck, you might be “burning oil.” Visit your mechanic for a diagnosis. https://youtu.be/EhU07gC3j5g via @YouTube Regular maintenance, https://bit.ly/SBAutoRepair #oil #ayersrepairs #santabarbara #autorepair

Air Filter Service

Air Filter Service

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTVwOfYbbSc via @YouTube Hi, this is Charlie with another Ayers Automotive Car Care Tip of the week, "Air Filter Service" soon. When you go in for a regular service, the technician should check the air filter to let you know if the filter needs to be replaced. Clean air filters do you have an effect on your long-term mileage. If you've been in an area of extreme fires or bad air quality you may find you need to change the air filter more often. In many cars these days, air filters have electronic sensors attached to them so be cautious if you decide to replace it yourself, to not damage any sensor in the air filter unit. Maintenance Required Soon Warning Light

Maintenance Required Soon Warning Light

Auto Tip Of The Week - Maintenance Required Soon Warning Light https://youtu.be/irHHXMDdn_8 via @YouTube   The Ayers Car Care Tip of the week. Maintenance Required Soon Warning Light means just that. The warning system in your vehicle knows exactly when your oil needs to be changed. Sparks plugs and coil should be replaced based on your car's mileage however, your vehicle services needs should be based on your driving conditions, and that's not factored in on the system indicator of your car. You may say, I just had my oil changed and now the system service light is on. Don't panic, you may have had the service done slightly before the "service engine indicator light" was set to notify you. The auto tech should have reset the system at the time of service and sometimes the resets don't override regardless of the reset. Just call Ayers Repairs and our ... read more
